About E X O D U S
Hello,
Please take the time to fill in your application. It is the first impression we get of you so therefore plays an important part in deciding if you will be accepted or not. Before submitting an application please take the time to see if you have these qualities:
Patience- We require our members to have a certain level of patience. So if you intend on stamping your feet and causing drama at wipes etc then this isnt the place for you.
Skilled- We require our members to have a good knowledge of their class but also a good knowledge of boss encounters. This includes a good standard of gear for the current content.
Be prepared- We expect all members to bring their own flasks and yes potions too (which we sell cheaply from Gbank). Food is optional as we provide fish feasts before pulls.
Commitment- We like our members to be fully committed to the guild and not just be here for the loot/raid experience.
Raiding is mandatory. All members are expected to raid as much as possible. Playing alts or PvP or farming etc will have to be done outside the raiding hours.
Everybody has to bring their best performance during the raids. Being late, being unprepared, slacking, excessive afking, not listening, not taking advice, being useless and pointless whining is not tolerated for very long.
EXODUS GUILD RULES
1. By joining and remaining a member of Exodus, you agree to comply with these rules. Failure to comply with these rules may result in your being dismissed from the guild, with or without prior warning. The rules are likely to evolve over time, so please check them on a regular basis.
2. Once your application is accepted, you will be promoted to recruit for a trial period. There is no fixed period of time for your trial and you will be accepted or rejected by the officers when they believe they have seen enough of your performance and attitude to make that decision. Whilst on trial, you may need on items during a raid, but please note that preference will be given to full members over you when distributing loot. Recruits are permitted to have alts in the guild.
3. Exodus is a raiding guild and we wish to avoid an inactive membership. You will be automatically dismissed if you are inactive for a period of 14 days or more without having let one of the officers know, either ingame or via the forum. Should you wish to rejoin after a period of inactivity, please speak to an officer.
4. Exodus expects its members to be respectful and friendly at all times, both to other Exodus members and to other players of the game. Members wear the Exodus name ingame and poor behaviour by an individual reflects badly upon all of our members. You agree that you will not use language that includes or implies taunts on the grounds of sex, sexuality, religion, race or disability. You agree that you will not bully or harass any player, whether in Exodus or not. Any behaviour that brings the name of Exodus into disrepute will be taken very seriously by the officers and is likely to lead to your expulsion from the guild.
5. Exodus raids on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday with raid invites commencing at 19:15 server time and the raid ending at 23:00 hours. We use the ingame calendar system to organise raids. If you are invited to a raid, please accept (tentatively if necessary) or decline. Do not just ignore the raid invite, as this makes it difficult for the officers to assess how many people can raid on a given night. If you accept an invite to raid, you are expected to be listening in on guild Team Speak and be at the relevant ingame meeting location (usually outside the dungeon that we are to raid) fully repaired and with all relevant potions by or before 19:15 server time. Typically the guild provides food and cauldrons, but be sure to bring appropriate food and elixirs too, in case you miss them. Leaving the raid early, turning up late, or worse, not turning up at all, wastes the time of everyone else in the raid. Don’t do it. If you cannot make a raid that you have accepted, please let the officers know either ingame or in the “Holidays and Absences” section of the forum. Similarly, please let the officers know before the raid if you think that you may not be able to stay for the whole raid, as preference is normally given to members who can.
6. Exodus uses a loot council system to distribute loot in respect of all loot dropped in official raids. Outside current content, the officers may use their discretion and may use the “need, greed, disenchant” system. If a tier token or an item of loot that you need drops, link the item you wish to replace into raid chat, followed by the words 'main' or 'os' (off spec). If you are bidding on a tier token, give the number of tier items of that type (normal or heroic) that you already have. The linking of the item you wish to replace will automatically trigger a bid for that item.
7. Officers have complete discretion over distribution of loot and use a voting system to allocate items. The main priority of the officers when determining distribution of loot is to ensure that the raid is best geared for progression. This can lead to unusual results (e.g. gearing up a member's os, because that os is required for a progression fight). However, besides trying to maximise our raid progression, we also take into account: how big an upgrade the item would be for you, whether or not the item is best in slot for you, what alternative item might be available to you, whether or not you have received loot recently and your attendance and performance. We also take into account whether or not you have passed on that item for another member previously. Other than that, generally main spec is given priority over os and members are given priority over recruits. Socials are not expected to raid in official raids, but this is also at the officers’ discretion and they may receive loot if they do raid. Regardless of how you feel about the fairness or otherwise of any distribution of loot, please do not harass or antagonise any person who receives loot. If you are unhappy, please speak to an officer about your concerns, but allow the person who received loot to feel happy about their new item.
8. Being in a guild gives you access to the skills and generosity of other members. Please do not abuse this. Please do not beg other members for money or items. If you wish to have a crafter make you an item, it is up to you to provide the materials. Similarly, if you require other members to help you finish a quest or obtain an item, please ensure that you are fully prepared. Don't expect them to have to use expensive consumables in achieving your goal. It is usually easier to find volunteers if you post your request on the forum. Finally, members are more likely to assist you if you are polite and helpful yourself. People tend to notice when someone leaves a group as soon as they have secured their own items. By contrast, you will get a very different reception if you stay in a group to help the rest of them out and you remember to say please and thank you to those who have assisted you.
9. These forums are unmoderated, but the same rules of conduct apply to any posting you make on them. In addition, please be careful not to breach the intellectual property rights (e.g. copyright) of others. Should you be concerned by the nature or content of any posting made on these forums, please contact an officer. Finally, should you have any questions or issues regarding Exodus, please speak to the guild master or any of the officers, either ingame or via a private message in the forums.

- Who are you? Please give a brief description of yourself, including your first name, age and occupation. Please do NOT include your surname, as we wish to preserve your privacy.
- What is your equipment/connection set-up like? Please give a very brief description of your set-up, i.e. what pc/laptop do you play on and what is the speed of your connection? On which fights do you lag?
- What character are you applying on? Please list your main character's class, race, main spec and offspec. Do you feel comfortable raiding current content in your offspec? Please provide links to your character's armory and recent World of Logs reports.

If you did this on another character, please say so and give us an armory link to that character as well.
- How patient are you? Our members are often asked to sit outside an instance on reserve and may be called in late in the raid to replace someone. Can you handle this?
- Please tell us which guilds you have been in during the last 12 months and explain why you left or were kicked etc.
- Why do you want to join Exodus? Why would we want you in our guild? Are there any current members of Exodus who would vouch for you? Are you currently applying to any other guilds? If so, which guild(s) are you applying to and what is the current status of your application(s) with them?
- Communications. Our guild communications are in English. Are you able to understand and produce written and spoken English? We use Mumble to give raid instructions. Please confirm that you are able to use this program.
- Please confirm that you have read and accept our Guild Rules. These can be found in the Public Section of the Forums on this website.
- On which of our raid days and times can you raid CONSISTENTLY each week?
